On water the sorbent instantly neutralizes the harmful effects of oil spills and forms islands for clean recovery with minimal residue and no sheen. Will absorb only the oil, not the water. Oil can be recovered from the sorbent by squeezing it, or the materials can be burned and used as fuel in approved facilities.
