IMPA 211136 – HMPE ROPE 8-STRAND, 12″CIRX200MTR – A lightweight fibre rope designed and manufactured using the revolutionary High Modulus Polyethylene Fibre. It is produced using a new process called gel spinning, a technique which produces a fibre with long parallel molecules able to share the applied load and give the HMPE its strength. Weight for weight HMPE fibre rope is the strongest on the market, being ten times stronger than steel and 40 % stronger than aramids. It has good flexibility and resistance to abrasion and UV light. Typical applications are for towing, ship is mooring hawsers, winch lines, heavy duty slings, etc. Standard length is 200 mtrs. When ordering, please specify the diam and length of the rope and if one or both ends of the rope should be eye spliced.
